Sobre mi
If it is between March and November, then I am most often away from my computer and living in the woods of Yosemite National Park in California where I have the great opportunity to work. The requirements of my job allow me to live in the backcountry wilderness: far from roads, hot running water, and electricity, I become familiar with parts of Yosemite's pristine landscapes the way that most people are familiar with their own backyards. It is an isolated and altogether wonderful experience that inspires me to share it through photography.
I have never formally studied photography, so my approach is amateur, and my style ever changing. Any suggestions would be more than welcome. I am looking forward to seeing all the work posted by others on this site.
I learned about fotocommunity from a German traveller named Nils, whom I was lucky to meet during a trip to Sweden in 2010. His style and technique encouraged me to explore the wonderful world of photography with my little camera - a Nikon Coolpix P60 8.1 megapixels with 5X optical zoom. Last Christmas I was given some photo editing software (Paintshop Pro), and I enjoy playing with that for many of my photos now. Sometimes it brings satisfaction as I reach the potential that I saw when I first visualized a shot, and sometimes it is exciting because I discover a deeper layer of life in a photo that catches me by surprise.
I apologize for long delays in my responses; I will try to keep in touch during my brief, sporadic visits back to civilization throughout the season - both to share my photos and to look at those you've shared. :)
Happy trails!

Anna,Margarita's full name is Irene-Margarita and she's a gentle girl who's studying History at University of Thessaloniki. She's also teaching principles of portrait photography (together with her -working as a pedagogue- friend, who's name is Alexandra).
Anyway, this is one (out of four more) Margarita's portrait shot that I took a few days ago, when I was testing my brand new Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8 lens (didn't like it this much, so I sent it back and then bought the Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens for even better results).
Phew! There, I said it all...
Have a nice day,
Enne See
