“Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.” These are the very principles that photographer, Journalist, and anti-aging 3 D- Mind Body & Core Prof. Advisor, Magdalena, has lived by. Indeed she is doing all that she has dreamt off, starting as an interior designer, and a holistic body mind professional advisor; Magdalena is an avid sports person whose passion for photography was ignited by the thrill of extreme sports and the desire to preserve life’s precious moments.
Magdalena Beata was born in Poland, where she studied and began her career in Creative Interior & Fashion Design. Becoming a Holistic body-mind-core professional and natural food consultant was something she did out of the desire to help her father win the fight against cancer. As a result, she dedicated her time and energy to exploring every possible means which could help the body cope, and if possible, overcome this illness. Both father and daughter researched and implemented what they found made sense on the nutrition side as well as on the physical elements which added to the balance created, within the body, and expended Magdalena’s father’s life from only six months, when he got diagnosed, to thirteen years. It was during these times that her passion for photography began to swell. To her, every moment with her father was a gift and she wanted to capture it all. Today, her style of photography is based on the desire ‘to capture any moment of passion in the movement and the way of living every day as if life chooses not to ever let us see tomorrow-living for the moment and living for the now.’
Her photography career started with free lancing and exploring, as she has done many times in her life. This was in 2002 when she came to the mother city, consequently moving here the following year after she lost her dad to cancer. She decided to do some shot during the Red Bull big wave window period. She says, “It was not a job as such but more of an exploration with the extreme sport athletes as well as action sport photography, people and the mood in general.” Yes but after this experience, she never went back. Her passion for this kind of photography was fanned and she has pursued this path ever since, incorporating it into her previous careers, and her style of photography well complements her early career. Magda is one of South Africa’s very few, and well sort-after Anti-aging 3 D- Mind Body & Core Prof Advisor, and 3D Way of Life photographer/ Journalist.
