Yes birds love em , we have some little birds called < Putters > in English they are called < Goldfinch > they really love these seeds......
Spotted a swarm the other day but to late to shoot an image.....
You did very well , even there is no bird eating from them you showed a nice image from the work done by em.....;-))

the two different patterns – the starry seeds ready to be eaten and the "gray void" work an almost hypnotic effect on my eyes… they way they seem to be "running into each other" – amazing! and beautifully "framed", too, by the wilting orange leaves and bright green leaves! enjoy your autumn banquet, little birds and mice of vancouver ; ))! hugs, sabine.
