WOW, what a magnificent landscape! and an image that's a challenge for the eyes, not easy to digest and to decipher, which i particularly like! it dares one to look closely, to scan, to gradually take in the contours and try to decide what's "inside" and what's "outside", what's a hollow cavity and what's just flat ground, where the sand ends and where the hole begins… until SUDDENLY the penny drops and makes one notice that it's something else entirely: shadow fooling the eyes, sunlight triumphing… what remains is… A REVELATION! no wonder you like the namib so much, it never ceases to surprise, even dumbfound us! love how the green trees and flat surface of the foreground keep the picture from "going all abstract" on us! slow food for the eyes and mind to enjoy! greetings, sabine. p.s.: that curvy line dividing the sunlit orange sand from the cooler west side of the dune… it's so picturesque and pretty in an almost "musical" way!
just stunning this landscape of sanddunes and vastness - and here with the trees in the foreground ... excellent your view and capture with this light - and much luck in the voting, Cathy !!!
hugs, Adele
Getting the timing right to catch the light coming over the edge of the dunes like you have done here is wonderful. The trees give a sense of scale and to have the dune line spiral out of the photo at the top, all wonderful.

Archie
