I love this. I remember going up the hill with this tram a couple of years ago with our friend Maria Joāo. Lisbon is a beautiful city. Great picture Andrea. Love the composition with the tram tracks leading me through the foreground to the back

a scene where time stood still .... this lovely old streetcar going up the hill an old institution of Lisbon ... your subdued colours give the image a nostalgic look and feel !!!
greetings, Adele
i agree. it has a certain nostalgic look to it! those old-fashioned "lean"-looking streetcars are so much more picturesque than our newly constructed ones that ease their square and cumbersome but eerily noiseless way through cities like duesseldorf or berlin… and no need for sepia tones here either, to underline the nostalgic feel, i mean. the beige and ashes-of-roses (ahh!*) houses lining the tracks do the job beautifully! greetings, sabine.
