glad to see there's an aussie here at FC. My girlfriend is Australian and since I'm into landscape photography Australia is a great place to be. "Unfortunately" we're living in switzerland right now. I just browsed through your gallery and was quiet impressed by some of your pics. looking forard to seeing some more.
Hey Jacqueline... I don't believe I responded to your comment at the end of March. Anyway, not sure what to say, the background was white and the lighting was the more intense on my face. I guess you are suggesting more light. Maybe I will use the lighting effect in photoshop to see what that looks like. Truthfully, I did play with some of that before I posted this picture and I like the shade that I posted it as. The picture I wish there was more lighting on is Me and My Thoughts.
Photographically speaking we are kindred spirits. I used to have a D80 and I too am an amateur learning fast. Photo editing is great however (I am sure you agre) the initial picture needs to be good to work with in the first place.
Best regards on your photo journey and visit my pictures anytime. I will return the favour.
Jacqueline,
Thanks very much for your many compliments and creative feedback. I really appreciate it.
I lost both my shoes in thick mud to get this picture. I saw the house while driving by and pulled over by the highway. There was lots of mud between me and this abandoned house, but I wanted to get close.
This and Floating Sunset were both purposely blurred. Partially because I was in a rush and I as I said I like to experiment. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for your feedback. I will definitely do more shots like this at a later date. And I will try it with more light, but probably with a background that is not so white as hit reflects the light. I love to experiment with my camera.
