Sobre mi
I am a self employed media and public relations consultant based in Adelaide, Australia.
My website is http://jmprphotography.com
I used to be a journalist and foreign correspondent with AAP-Reuter, and from time to time have worked as media liaison officer to members of the British Royal Family when they have visited Australia. I even once got to dance with Princess Diana.
I have always been interested in photography, and have worked with some of the best professionals in Australia...but always as a director as opposed to being behind the camera.
In 2006, I decided to take the plunge, and visited Vietnam and Cambodia. I managed to take many photographs, and have had a number of them published in Australian travel magazines, together with my articles.
In 2007 I went to India and spent 2 weeks in a remote part of the rarely visited state of Assam. I was up near the border of India and Bhutan, and also did an 8 day cruise along the magnificent Brahmaputra River.
My initial equipment was basic digital. A Nikon 3700 and a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ5. For the India trip, I lashed out and purchased a Pentax K10D plus an assortment of lenses.

OK everyone, I have to apologize. I had no idea this website was so busy and alive, and have just returned for the first time since registering and noted the warm and generous welcomes I have received. Thank you all so much, and I promise to become a more frequent visitor and participant now I can see what this place is all about. I'm a regular contributor to PhotoSIG, but this place is refreshingly different!Antonio Amen 23/05/2006 15:02
