Sobre mi

. ..I like to capture images that most people overlook. ...and I just think photography is fun....and memorable. I live on a large country farm. and just a few minutes to the East is the Appalachian mountains and the starting point for the trail of tears walkway and Cherokee forests, I work a full time and take lots of pictures. Since I am surrounded by civil war sites it makes a perfect place for photographers, there is a lake and lots of acreage and wildlife and rescued animals, all around me, which gives me many photo opps!...

    Hi Michael,

I have a series Portals to the Other Side, of which Slytherin is an image. The series is comprised of the doors of tombs and how society has vandalized, revered or interacted with them in general. Nearly every tomb had locks and chains, but nothing as sizeable as this one. I find it curious what it is they are wanting to either keep out or keep in with such physical strength and tenacity. Indeed, love is an integral component in this goal to protect and the strength of that love is much stronger than this lock and chain.

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment. I enjoy hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Robyn

    Hi Michael,
Thanks for the comments on tattered spring. Rot and delapidation is one of my favorite topics. It is always so diverse, unpredictable and incredibly poetic. Hearts broke, love swelled, babies cried and whiskey got drunk in that structure. Fascinates me.
