I have lived in the Shetland Isles all my life and find its a place that lends itself to taking photos. I have been interested in photography for quite a few years but not had the time or inclination to really get in to it until now. I am enjoying being able to go mad with digital images, its great being able to shoot so many without it costing anything!! I enjoy, not only taking pictures, but also experimenting with my Corel Paintshop Pro package. I am a complete novice at photo manipulation so have a lot to learn. I am doing a freelance photography course.
I purchased a Canon 400D in July 2007 and (so far) I have the standard 18mm - 55mm lens plus a Tamron 18 - 270mm zoom lens. I have a tripod and a remote control and a couple of close up filters (which I have not used much yet).
