Germán F. Santana

I started as a self schooled photographer when I was 16 years old, in my home town Bogota, Colombia. I made Atlanta my home in 1988 and eversince have refined my craft through coursework at the Atlanta College of Art and The Showcase School of Photography.
My interests and fascination with the contour of the human body has transcended various mediums, including stained glass, 35 mm and digital photography. My photographic focus has resulted in a technique that accomplishes a delicate balance between tone, composition and the use of natural light. My attention delivers an image that explores intricate aspects of mood, environment and emotion; translating my technique into an exciting and varied body of work that includes a series of landscapes, faces and everyday life
