Buddha inside the Wat Huai Rin
The holy center and the inside of the temple is called "bot" an ahs an altar with the image of Lord Buddha, here is the same Bhumisparsha mudra position as the statue inside the other temple nearby. It shows Buddha in his position to take on the Earth as a witness of his renouncing to the earthly pleasures and wishes offered by the Mara demon in exchange of his non-enlightenment.
(Mara is a Sanskrit word meaning "death" or any personification thereof.)
