Igreja Matriz Paranapiacaba
The church Paranapiacaba in origin, it was called the Chapel of Alto da Serra, and received five-year license for the celebration of Masses for the first time on August 8, 1884.
Its construction began that year. The February 2, was elected a commission of works of the church and the cornerstone was laid on February 3, 1884. Before the chapel itself, the town had an oratory, whose earliest records date from 1880.
The church was the patron saint of Bom Jesus. With the creation of the parish of Ribeirao Pires in 1911, the church of Bom Jesus do Alto da Serra becomes attached to it, today's church Paranapiacaba is attached to the parish of Rio Grande da Serra.
