The Blue Feeling

When KLM Royal Dutch Airlines started off in 1919, it was the World's first airline. Up until now the KLM steadily grew to a massive company that retained its specific family feeling, called 'the blue feeling'.
Today it's not Dutch anymore but taken over by Air France. Shame!

In an effort to capture the blue feeling, I produced this 'advertisement', emulating the official ads that KLM produced in the 80's and 90's. It is totally conform KLM's corporate identity in terms of layout, colour setting and textual choices.

Aircraft was photo of one taking off. I had to push up the trailing edge flaps and delete the folded down leading edge flaps, in order to make it cruise at high altitude. Background was another photo. The suggestion that this image was a paper poster folded two times was hand-made in PS CS2, as has been the whole composing.

Greetz all, Peter
