Hi Steve,
I don't know what the flower structure was for, I think it was purely decoration for the town centre. You couldn't go in it, there was a barrier there. The flowers were made out of metal and screwed together I think.

Hi Steve,
They don't change colour as they get older but depending on the type of soil they they are in, they are either pink or blue. Mum says if the soil has a high iron content then the colour goes deep blue, funky!! Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Hi to everyone visiting. For anyone interested, I've posted some pictures taken at the recent Airshow. The weather was great, (very different from last year!!)
Also posted are other recent shots taken whilst out and about at various locations walking in the countryside.
I hope there is something of interest for viewers. Comments are gratefully received, as always.
As it was such a lovely day, I took myself off for a walk around Chamber's Wood, which is near Bardney in Lincolnshire. I've posted a few pictures taken with my new Wide Angle Zoom which arrived last Wednesday.
I tried to do some church pics like your catherdral I've put one one what a palarva I had with the vicar of lichfield catherdral had to buy a permit then all kinds of questions on type of photo's got some though bloody ridiculous found the verger more agreeable.
