Thanks Dominic for your comments on several recent postings, It is great to have a pro like you commenting on my efforts. Actually I agree about Tate Modern, except that they also show less contentious work - Rousseau for instance was on at the same time as the cubes. I had never been before so was taken for a birthday treat.
Hi Dominic
Thanks for your comment on my Holme Moss picture. I didnt understand the bit about using 130KB. Could you explain how i would do this (not very technically minded). I am uploading the photo at the maximum pixels allowed but I am interested in how I could improve my pics the way you suggested.
Thank you
Carmen
Thhanks Dominic for your comments on the circle, yes it is done in Photoshop, it's so easy and funny to watch your photo get an total different look.
I am a member of Flickr now and therefere not much time for FC anymore :)) I prefer it there.
Greetings, Rita
Thanks for the comment on Fleur's portrait. It was a cheat really in that I took a small part of a shot that was purely for reference and manipulated it in B/W. Thus it is a little on the small side.
Thanks for commenting on my 2 girls in the winery.
I wish that I had had a fill in flash gun with me. I had to balance the tones in Photoshop to try to correct the shadows. I just like the romantic English feel of it. Regrettably, Photoshop work does degrade images somewhat.
Thanks Dominic for the kind comment on the cityscapes. I took several in Boston on a trip in November and will posytt some more shortly when my allowance comes up.
I got my old OM2 Olympus out of the cupboard for the trip and enjoyed shooting trannies for a change.
