Hi Ray,
I appreciate your comments on my image Concurrent. But I'm afraid I will have to disappoint you as for the exposure and capture. I shot the wave with my Canon 5D hand held from the Pier here in Pt. Hueneme. The light was coming from behind the wave and casting reflections of the breaking crest onto the front of the wave. 1/500 sec. f/22. There is bit of ps manip, but only slightly. I cropped slightly in PS, reduced the gama (midtones) in levels by about 5 points and that's it. Just because you haven't seen a wave like this, doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist! The ocean here is different every day, due to the changes in atmosphere and depending on the time of day, the mood, clarity and reflective tendencies can change from moment to moment. This was about 3 pm in the afternoon on a clear day. One thing you may wish to know about my work is that I purposely try to do the effects I am after in camera on the exposure end. This is the challenge where most of the learning takes place. I don't care for overly PS created images and challenge myself to do it on the exposure end. Plug-ings and filters have a cookie cutter stamped look due to the unchanging x y coordinates attributed to each filter. They're easily recognizeable and I don't care for them. There's the logic to my madness.....8-)
Hope this satisfies your curiousity....
Best of regards to you, Ray.

Your observations are spot on for YellowDoor. The broken door, still locked displayed the desperate desire by someone to gain entry, yet the broken window represented a sincere and earnest desperation for escape. The energy abounding the premises was sinister and forboding, with dark promises of nightmares, wicked behavior and things that go bump in the night. My feet were held fast in the red earth, heart pounding with mind's voices screaming for immediate flight from the evil within. Yet I want to go back...to image the unseen.
Ray! I am so pleased you chose to climb inside the image and let it take you on a slow curve at warp speed into the minds of the occupants within as well as the mind of the image-maker. That's exactly the kind of interaction I am seeking to elicit! A fun exchange, indeed!
