I've never heard of of the 8 to 16 mm Sigma. I have heard of the Tokina 11 - 16 mm f2.8 ($700 - $800 CAD/US) - great lense. I did not like the 18 - 200 mm Nikon Lense - its just not sharp unless you have really bright sun/light to shoot F8. Checkout SLRgear.com for lense review. If you can get the 50 mm f 1.8 ($180) or f 1.4 ($370) get it. I went shooting with one today and I love it. Another good Nikon Lense is the
Nikon 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR DX AF-S.

Enne I used the D300s with the 10.5 Fisheye Lense.
This lense is ultra-wide - 180 degrees in all direction.
