Anthropomorphism
Your boats have character; they actually look like characters to me. Almost like people cast up on the shore. Especially the forlorn one left of center.
Sorry, this may seem silly, but I just was compelled to write. All of Kevin's pictures are loaded with feeling, but this one really seems "human" with no humans in the scene! I'll stop rambling now ...
