Another moon shot...

Tried a moon shot again, and it seem a lot better when the moon is higher in the sky (than my last one). About 38% of the original size, a bit of color adjustments to get it (how I feel is) right.

A really great moon-picture with lots of pin-sharp details.

There's not much to critisize - maybe the border which is much to prominent in my eyes. The shading of the border makes it apear three-dimensional - and in turn makes the moon apear more "flat"...

Sue: I used a 600mm lens with a 1.4X teleconverter, a steady tripod, mirror lockup and remote release. Also the pixel density of the Canon 40D helped a bit (10Mb on a 1.6X crop sensor).
