I love your pointing out the (quite pronounced!) cultural difference here ;-)
Looks like someone is very much enjoying a winter visit to sunnier climes!

  Yes, Steve, as you may have found out already, we were on a one-week´s turn on the TUI-ship "Mein Schiff 4" which brought us from Gran Canaria to Madeira, Teneriffa and Fuerteventura and back to Las Palmas, where we also had been flying to on TUI´s own fleet of Boeing 737-800s and back again to Frankfurt, of course.

  Weather conditions were fully okay, around 16 - 22° C and mostly sunny days.
  Not too hot, not humid, quite ideal!
  A very enjoyable journey, a lot of photographing to do besides all the other things to be discovered! Super meals on board in 6 restaurants... drinks as well in even more bars in- and outside on an all-inclusive arrangement that comes along with the fare.
  Swimming pools indoor and outdoor, wellness, sauna, fitness, a big and a smaller theatre and, of course, tax-free shopping and a very friendly crew.

  Thanks, Steve. Yes. I decided to leave the Nikons at home and travel light with just the tiny A6000(APS-C sensor!), the 16-50 almost-pancake an the very good wide-angle zoom 10-18(15-27)mm which gave stunning results! Achilles heel is the battery, you better take along two or more!
