Cattle Egret

The Cattle Egret is a heron species who gained its name from its habit of removing and eating ticks and flies from cattle.

This bird has originated in central Africa and then spread to many other parts of the world during the 19th century as human activities, such as the expansion of agriculture and the cattle industry, created a suitable habitat for this species.
In Belgium however, it’s a seldom spotted visitor.

German name : Kuhreiher
Latin name : Bubulcus ibis

Shot was made with a 850mm lens (500mm + 1,7x extender) out of this hut

Well captured in excellent sharpness and detail.
Sometimes I could do with a 1.5 extender too but in most cases I manage to get close enough for my 400mm zoom.
