As mentioned in my profile some time ago, I have worked on a photo-project contributing to a 4 month exhibition in our local museum. This exhibition was dedicated to the lifetime achievement of Christa Schmitt, a well-known ceramic artist here in this region. Here are some of the 35 photos of the exhibition starting with a portrait series and ending up with 2 photos of her work. This week she will celebrate her 90th birthday and so I asked her for permission to publish these photos. Happy Birthday!

strength and determination! a powerful will sprinkled with a pinch of whimsical humor, i think. both are showing in her somewhat playful "no-nonsense art", too, i think – well, unless that's not a contradiction in terms… ; ) happy 90th birthday, christa schmitt! greetings, sabine.
