Courthouse Towers

Sometimes a thunderstorm has its advantage, especially if you are a photographer looking for chances.

Visiting Arches N.P. I recalled a photograph from well-known Tom Till and so we stopped at Courthouse Towers. I went the trail (Park Avenue) along the empty arroyo and suddenly spotted a little puddle. Perfect to arrange the photo :-)

Die Park Avenue gehoert fuer mich mit zu den schoensten Trails im Arches, weil sie Motive in Huelle und Fuelle bietet.

…a puddle shaped like the orca that probably lived their eons ago, when the place was still a prehistoric ocean! ; )) in fact, it's still a very primeval place! and the rock, smoothed and worn by the weather looks almost like a man-made monument! beautiful composition indeed with the rock reaching skywards and the puddle pointing the opposite way! greetings, sabine.
