An old lighthouse built at a wrong place. Perfect for the seafaring, but in the middle of Rubjerg Knude, a migrating dune, it couldn´t stand for long.

Today its still a famous landmark and right now efforts are in progress to secure the tower. Therefore the light dome has been removed temporarily.

Great shot that shows the characteristics of this lighthouse well. Located on top of the Danish Northsea coast. No longer in use, but it might have served its purpose well, and saved lives. Sorry the say I havn't been there yet : )

I love this for many reasons but the simplicity and excellence of the composition are what I noticed first. The colors are beautiful Overall an outstanding photo Matthias.
