Derwent Lighthouse out the Hobart's bay

For nearly two hundred years the Iron Pot Lighthouse at South Arm has welcomed sailors to the mouth of the Derwent River.
Passing the lighthouse on the way to Port Arthur which lighting the shipping boats into the harbour route.
The main purposes of the lighthouse is to serve as a navigational aid and to warn boats of dangerous areas. It is like a traffic sign on the sea.
