Allein schön der grüne Streifen und dahinter die Wüste wirkt fast surrealistisch. Und dabei noch so viele Flamingos, die mit ihrem prächtig rosafarbenen Gefieder diese Landschaft bevölkern - das ist ein ganz besonderes Bild !

Wow, die Flamingos auch mal außerhalb der Lagune mit den Namib-Dünen im HG. Und ganz besonders finde ich, dass einige die Luft bevölkern, andere noch im Wasser sind. Meist fliegen ja alle auf, wenn Fotografen-Alarm ist ;-)

A top image. I love it, I think those green fields are shortlived in that desert.

  Actually Jan, this area is just a short distance outside Walvis Bay Harbour. This is the same height as sea level and so when there is a high tide then this area fills with water. It has water almost all year round. It is a really magnificent area to visit and not many tourists know about it as it does not have direct road access.

Die Flamingos haben wir nach dem Besuch bei euch auf dem Heimweg auch gesehen - aber es hatte leider nicht so viele, wie auf deinem prächtigen Bild.
Deine Aufnahme ist wunderschön.

  Hi Jacky, from the main road you cannot actually see how many flamingoes there are. You would have to park your car along the main road and walk into the dunes to see how many there really are, they are very hidden behind the dunes. It is not always safe to leave your car there unattended, so next time we will have to take you there on another tour.
