Happy Mother's Day!
By coincidence, as Mother's Day approached, I had been rediscovering many delightful
photo-moments from my visit to Switzerland in the autumn of 2011. Well, never too late,
I always say, when nice travel memories are involved...
The village of Tamins, in my beloved Canton Graubünden, was my base for a portion of my stay.
There, I spent a most enjoyable afternoon photographing a very photogenic little girl named Riana,
who is the granddaughter of my Bündnerfreunde Beatrice and Ruedi.
Riana and her mother Cornelia, and I were exploring
the inviting village of Tamins, where they lived at the time.
As I've written elsewhere, Riana loved the camera and vice versa (*) and this led to many photos, including when we stopped for some ice cream along a cobblestoned plaza. After polishing off a very large dish of vanilla, Riana decided it was time to tickle Mommy's face, no doubt for the benefit of a visiting photog ;-)
Riana now has a little brother, and she and her Mommy and Daddy now live in Germany, but it was
so nice to have had the chance to photograph her playful, photogenic little self, a highlight of my days in Tamins.
