Icterine Warbler (immature)

One doesn't see much birds in the vast and desolate peat moors of ‘Hohes Venn’, the greatest and oldest National Park of Belgium and the most unique nature biotop in the land.

I only spotted this small Icterine Warbler far away in the swamp. A 850mm lens was absolutely necessary to shoot the bird (500 mm + 1,7X extender).
It’s a migratory songbird, wintering in tropical Africa.

Dutch name : Spotvogel (immatuur)
German name : Gelbspötter (immatur)
Latin name : Hippolais icterina

Das war die Mühe wert..........danke für deine Angaben, mit wieviel "mm" du ihn fotografiert hast.
Das war spontan mein erster Gedanke, wie du das geschafft hast, nah genug ran zu kommen.
Auf jeden Fall ist der knackscharf und dir sehr gut gelungen.

Diesen kleinen, hübschen Gelbspötter hast du prima erwischt, Mark, schön auch die Pflanze dazu, auf der er sitzt! Ich weiß, wie schwierig das mit Vögeln in freier Natur ist, zumal so kleinen, da sind 500mm+TK einfach erforderlich...
