Kokila - the "nightingale" from South India

This is a picture I shot for a homestory on poem-writing prodigy Kokila from South India (for more information see my story "The young girl and the sea", link: http://stefanteplan.blogspot.com/2009/10/young-girl-and-sea.html
I call her the nightingale because Kokila in India is the name of a bird and a girl's name as well - and some of her poems became wonderful songs. So that name fits.
