Learning the essential
This is one of my most special photo's, because of the story behind. These boys are from the Fulani tribe, a west-african nomad tribe. We came in contact with some of them and decided to visit them. Normally it's hard to communicate with them, they hardly speak English (and if they do, they speak pidgin Enlish).
Because they are nomads, the children don't go to school. To our suprise, this boy was practicing how to write. He told us that wherever he can he goes to the mosque to learn things like writing.
