Oregon-grape

At this time of the year the bright yellow flowers of the Oregon-grape can be admired.

It’s an evergreen shrub native to the North American west coast and is getting more and more popular in European gardens.

Dutch name : Mahoniestruik
German name : Gewöhnliche Mahonie (auch Stechdornblättrige Mahonie genannt)
Latin name : Mahonia aquifolium

a beautiful bush, widespread in our area and always so bright with its yellow blossoms in the Spring .... I believe the blue berries in the Fall are edible ... a well lit and focused close view of the flowers.
