Q-Scape No.2 - Q Train and Wonder Wheel, Coney Island
From a new series of photos along New York City's Q Train...
The Q serves the modern stations along the Second Avenue Subway, then jogs crosstown to
run diagonally down Manhattan on the BMT Broadway Line, before crossing the Manhattan
Bridge and covering a large swath of Brooklyn on the Brighton Line, including in long open cuts
and on elevated structures before terminating at Stillwell Avenue Station in Coney Island.
Here, a Q Train of R68-type railcars is wrapping up its long journey from 96th St on Manhattan's
Upper East Side as it pulls into an upper level track at Stillwell Avenue Station on a December afternoon.
Just beyond can be seen Coney Island's iconic Wonder Wheel.
