The red-headed bulbul ( Pycnonotus jocosus ) or crested bulbul is a passerine bird native to Asia . It has become established in Australia and in Los Angeles , Hawaii , and Florida in the United States as well as in Mauritius , on Assumption Island and Mascarene Islands . The red-crested bulbul was introduced by the Zoological and Acclimatization Society in Sydney in 1880 , had become well established in the suburbs by 1920 , and was slowly spreading to a distance of about 100 km . It is now also found in the suburbs of Melbourne and Adelaide, although it is unclear how they got there. The nest is cup-shaped and is built on bushes, thatched walls or small trees . It is woven from fine twigs, roots and grasses and decorated with large objects such as strips of bark, paper or plastic bags. Adults (possibly the female ) may feign injury to distract potential predators from the nest.

Der rothaarige Bulbul ( Pycnonotus jocosus ) oder Bulbul mit Haube ist ein in Asien beheimateter Sperlingsvogel . Es hat sich in Australien und in Los Angeles , Hawaii , und Florida in den Vereinigten Staaten sowie in Mauritius , auf Assumption Island und Mascarene Islands etabliert . Der rothaarige Bulbul wurde 1880 von der Zoological and Acclimatization Society in Sydney eingeführt, hatte sich bis 1920 in den Vororten gut etabliert und breitete sich langsam bis zu einer Entfernung von etwa 100 km aus. Es ist jetzt auch in den Vororten von Melbourne und Adelaide zu finden, obwohl unklar ist, wie sie dorthin gelangt sind. Das Nest ist becherförmig und wird auf Büschen, strohgedeckten Wänden oder kleinen Bäumen gebaut . Es ist aus feinen Zweigen, Wurzeln und Gräsern geflochten und mit großen Gegenständen wie Rindenstreifen, Papier oder Plastiktüten verziert. Erwachsene (möglicherweise das Weibchen ) können Verletzungen vortäuschen, um potenzielle Raubtiere vom Nest abzulenken.

Der rothaarige Bulbul, das ist bestimmt auch wieder ein Vogel, den sicher kaum jemand von uns kennt. Eine schöne Vorstellung gibt er hier ab auf dieser Aufnahme.
