Silver

A slope full of dead pine trees at mount "le Brézouard", a two days hike northwest of Kaisersberg (Alsace, France). The bark is gone, the bare wood worn silvery white over time. A forest fire years before left a ghostly, desolate scenery that I just had to photograph.

Canon F1n, 28mm, warm filter 81A + polarizer, film Portra 160NC

Ja, es hat dort vermutlich vor einigen Jahren ein Waldbrand gegeben.

Excellent perspective. I like the way the trees lead the eye to the sky.

Thank you all for your comments!
@Ana: enough for vote? Thanks, you make me blush... :-)
Although I don't think it's that good; a nice picture but not a winner.
Funny that you mention brilliance. I made another version at first but later I reduced contrast a bit because I didn't want to overdo. I choose a more realistic representation of the colors and I wanted to maintain the subtle shades of color in the clouds but I understand the artistic effect you have in mind. I appreciate that you express your thought. Maybe I should have kept it how it was.

Does someone have other opinions about this?
    Greetings, Robert

hmm....very good! Quite enough for vote. The colors might need more brilliance in order to get more esthetic sensibilities.
