Springtime along Main Street

A vibrant slice of small town Americana ...

This Spring impression was captured on an early May afternoon in the town of Port Deposit in northeastern
Maryland. The green house with its lively red accents would brighten up the grayest of days, but on this sunny
Springtime afternoon I found it to be an irresistible motif for the Ektachrome slide film in one of my cameras.

Port Deposit sits along the eastern bank of the Susquehanna River, near its confluence with
the headwaters of Maryland's Chesapeake Bay. Main street runs parallel to the river.
