Stratospheric Jetski

This image was taken in Cap Breton - France, during a Jetski competition. The rider survived after a lengthy swim. The rescue ski met a similar fate to the ski that landed on the rider that you can see.

Utter confusion from the rescue services resulted in the ski being smashed to pieces on the rocks.

I love this image as for me it captures the very edge of watersports photography and how the ocean is always your mistress that from time to time will let you know who is really in charge!

Enjoy

Hi again and thanks. If I could get this site to upload then you could see the rest of my work like this.

My favourite stuff is where a riders face hits the water and you can see the face under the water!

Also droplets coming from a kiteboard backlit by the sun are stunning. Will keep trying to post stuff

Great action shot, with perfect timing. The story behind adds depth too. Glad everyone was safe even if the skis didn't quite survive. Kathryn

Thank you very much. After I shot this I purchased my Canon 100-400 IS USM lens and now the water droplets in my work have become even sharper. Will post more images of the same ilk so keep passing by.

    Thanks again

I love the trail of water leaving the airborne jetski, incredible capture.
