The Fungi world (67) : Green Brittlegill
At present time, it’s usually pretty dark in the forest but that’s no problem for fungi as they can even grow in complete darkness.
There are still some fungi around, alive and kicking. Look what I found.
This is a young specimen of the Green Brittlegill, a fungus that likes to grow under birches.
Dutch name : Groene Berkenrussula
German name : Grasgrüner Birkentäubling
Latin name : Russula aeruginea

@ Anca :Yes, this fungus is edible, but only small helpings, otherwise it might upset the stomach.

Habe ich schon gefunden und auch gegessen :) und so wie der Pilz auf deinem schönen Foto aussieht, ist er noch ganz frisch und zart. Aber auch "nur" fotografiert ein Genuß! :)LG Gunther
