The Keyhole Ice Effect
One cold recent winter day I could not help but to notice these icy caverns, rings and benches created by the recent flooding, freezing, melting and freezing weather we had. I knew that I had to get a closer look. As I was returning this shot literally grabbed me. I saw that and out loud in the woods alone I stated "Oh look at that beauty, I have to get a shot of this." So after talking to no one I set up my shot. The sunlight was oh so helpful in making the icy levels appear ever so rounded between these two young trees. I call this the keyhole ice effect due to the icy creation in the center. This is my all time favorite shot too.
