The Living Forest (119) : Red Deer
The first part of the 2010 summer was extremely hot and dry.
In the forest, this young Red Deer was desperately seeking for water in this little patch of mud.
Dutch name : Edelhert
German name : Rothirsch
Latin name : Cervus elaphus
Location : Hertogenwald at Raeren (Belgium).
