The old region of Zagorochoria, in Epirus, consists of many villages perched in very remote and very high mountainous parts of West Greece, with a rich historical past.They are famous for their architectural style of houses and roads. During the Ottoman occupation the majority of them enjoyed a certain degree of autonomy because of their inaccesible site.
In the photo a view of the village Tsepelovo with the imposing bulk of the Tzoumerca mountains on top.

an image with an almost acoustic impact on my viewer's perception! i hear a triumphant ringing sound… don't know exactly what triggers it, something in the dramatic light, something in the splendor of the rocky wall, something about that miniscular man-made clock, trying to deal with that vast entity we call "time" in the face of an overwhelmingly spectacular and awe-inspiring nature… what an impressive place and scenery! beautifully captured with that road leading into the epic mountain like a story… greetings, sabine.
