oh, wow! that's quite a promenade!! so broad, so many "lanes" – it's a bit like an expressway for flaneurs! ; ) and buzzing with life, too: people do indeed seem to be flowing down the promenade like languid waves! love the composition and the high contrasts – to me they make the depicted scene seem pleasantly timeless: could be now, could be 50 years ago, if it weren't for the newly built (?) promenade, that is… greetings, sabine.
