it was sad and depressing to find this beautiful silverback gorilla (and others) in the zoo, albeit in large and well designed surroundings - still, his life is not the same as it would have been in the wild .....

taken in the All Weather Zoo in Muenster, Germany ... and unfortunately with too much infalling sun from the side !!!

le regard des animaux en captivité me fait toujours mal, j'aimerais savoir ce à quoi il pense, un regard qui en dit long, tu as fait un joli portrait de ce gorille, tu as bien saisi son expression,

Das habe ich auch bei den Affen im Krefelder Zoo gedacht.
Genau wie Du beim Anblick der Gorillas. Wobei ich nicht beurteilen kann, ob sie vielleicht immer so schauen, doch hinter der Glasscheibe (in Krefeld) wirkte es noch mal trauriger.
Deine zweispältigen Gefühle teile ich daher.
