Trundling along on her wide-gauge rails on this autumn afternoon, the Baltimore Streetcar Museum's
Car No. 264 is returning to her terminus with a load of passengers experiencing "the way it used to be."
This wooden bodied car, lovingly maintained by the museum, was built in 1900
and ran on the streets of Baltimore for many years. Her sides were removable
to allow "air-conditioned" comfort for her passengers on hot summer days.

an image that for some (obvious?) reason makes me think john sloan ("sixth avenue" for example) and john dos passos ("manhattan transfer"). great, how the train tracks are guiding us right into the shot! in fact, the immediacy of the point of view makes me feel a bit like an anachronistic guinea pig placed on the tracks for a trolley problem…* ; )) greetings, sabine.----------------------------------------------------------

I love trams! I even travelled to Lisbon to take a ride in one of these wonderful historic trams:)This one looks great too. Wish I could be there!
