Grey shrikethrush / Graubrust Drossel
The grey shrikethrush or grey shrike-thrush (Colluricincla harmonica), formerly commonly known as grey thrush, is one of the best-loved and most distinctive songbirds of Australia. It is moderately common to common in most parts of Australia, but absent from the driest of the inland deserts. It is also found in New Guinea.
Die Graubrust -Drossel (Colluricincla-Harmonika), die früher als graue Drossel bekannt war, ist eine der beliebtesten und eigenartigsten Singvögel von Australien. Sie ist in den meisten Teilen Australiens anzutreffen ausser in den trockensten Binnenwüsten und sie ist auch in Neuguinea zu finden.

an excellent portrait of this thrush species, superb sharp details, lovely with
his cocked head !!!
we had a Varied Thrush visit from mountainous elevations due to the uncommonly
hard Winter this year ... a real treat, but very fast and never close enough to take
a decent picture !!!
