oh my... this is a theme... with so many facetten ... (not only for winter or around christmas time -- here speaks a retired streetworker) and is not as simple as it looks at first glimpse ....
I was many years -- due to a (being voted into Der AusLänderbeirat der Stadt Wuppertal) Mandate ... as beratende Mitglied im Sozialausschuß -- for 3 Mandat periods = 15 years)
and knows the background and discussion, as well as what the Gemeinde, the Wohlfahrtverbänden and Kirchen do for these people ... obdachlos.. nichtsesshaft ... and so on ....
and the situation has greatly improved...
interesting to remark ... that many wish it this way... it's become their way of life ... and there is nothing one can say negative about that... but some others are caught up in the wheels of outrageous fortune ... and have little choice... at least kurzfristig ...
Wuppertal's quick unburocratic action to this phemonen has saved many a life ... not one had died by freezing out doors during the winter .... (for years now) ... and that's a step in the right direction ...
I looked at your series ... pictures are abstractly good... but I had a hard time to gleam out your point of view ...

ja, Bilder...redende Bilder...
mit grosser Sensibilität klar, hart, nüchtern mit zurückgenommener Anteilnahme gemacht...
und nie der Versuchung erlegen, dem motivgeilen Voyeurismus der community Vorschub zu leisten, um einen Klick zu erhaschen...
diese Bilder können nicht anders sein, als sie sein wollten... sie wollten weder heller, noch schärfer oder irgendwas sein...
sie wollten nur reden, erzählen, vom Leben jenseits der makromäßig aufgeblasenen Blümchen- und Blütenträume, jenseits der heile.Welt.Lanschafterei und blaßrosa getönter Digitalphantasien...
sie gehören zusammen und sind in meinen Augen großartig...

So ist das halt.Hab ich erst gestern wieder gehabt, Obdachlos innerhalb weniger Stunden bei mehr als -10 Grad. Konnte die Frau nur bei einem Stammfreier unterbringen, schlimm.
