Kelly,You have a great subject, but the photo is lacking. If you still have access to him, retake, doing some of the following. focus better, don't center the subject, use a more natural background than your hand, use lighting to create some shadows and highlights. Keep shooting.

Picture has a little bit of a blur.Add a touch of sharp to it.
