      Alnwick castle was, and is, the home of the Dukes of Northumberland, (the Percy family).
      The castle is sometimes described as "the Windsor of the North".
      In recent times - it also featured as Hogwarts in the earlier harry potter movies, and also in a couple of episodes of Downton Abbey.
      So now you know.
