ANOTHER CHANCE ON "LIGHT-PAINTING" AT LOW EXPENSE

I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THE FIRST "LIGHT-PAINTING" PHOTO HAD ONLY ONE COMMENT, ALTHOUGH IT RECEIVED DOZENS OF VISITS! THE SAME FOR THIS ONE, WHICH, BY THE WAY, IS MUCH BETTER..!

IT'S MY PLEASURE TO JOIN EXPERIENCES AND TECHNIQUES WITH MY FRIENDS [ YOU'RE ONE OF THE DEAREST! ]. I'VE BEEN DOING IT SINCE I CAME TO FC, SO FAR!
BUT HONEY, IN ONE THING YOU ARE WRONG: SELF-EVALUATION...I DO HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO DO IT 'COS I'M 30 YEARS ON THE ROAD!
LOOK BACK AND SEE HOW MUCH YOU'VE GROWN DURING THE LAST MONTHS. THEREFORE, THE REAL DIFFERENCE IS: WHEN I BEGAN - I WAS ABOUT 15 - NO COMPUTERS WERE AVAIABLE SO I HAD TO BE CREATIVE & PUT COLOUR PIECES OF CELOPHANE PAPER IN FRONT OF MY FATHER'S 1958 "EXAKTA" CAMERA IN ORDER TO OBTAIN THE EFFECTS I WANTED...
THAT'S MY SCHOOL AND THAT'S THE WAY I DO UNTIL TODAY.
    A KISS,
    SERGIO.

This is a wonderful work Sergio. Thank you for explaining the light painting. Well this is the difference between you and me, you know know how to work with the camera and lights to get this effects, I can just play with the computer prgrammes.
    Greetings

Sergio- wonderful. It's been a long time since I've seen time exposure light paintings done. I've been sort of playing with the old concept by digital - not the same, but this has been my result. They came from the vision of when I was a kid using fire sparklers to do night shots like yours - the halo's. I did one of the Boyz with colored light streaks. Really enjoyed this shot of yours - it's really amazing, I never tried to do this with a city light background, such an interesting effect. This one was a time lapse- three different exposures.

    DEAR EAMO,
THIS'S CALLED "LIGHT PAINTING" MY BROTHER & U CAN DO IT EASILY...
GO TO THE TOP OF AN IRISH HILL {WITH A NICE IRISH GAL} AT NIGHT, MOUNT YOUR CAMERA ON A TRIPOD - USING A CABLE RELEASE - A WIDE ANGLE LENS (28 or 35mm), f 8[aperture] , "B" mode, exposure time of circa 15 seconds.
Release and lock the cable; fire the flash sometimes aiming the girl's body (the flash front must be covered w. a piece of red celophane paper); then go behind her using a small battery lantern poiting the camera & moving around her...THAT'S IT PAL!
