Arxangelskoe

The Arxangelskoe palace in the sunshine, while a storm is forming in the background. Because of the cold all the statues are covered up. Pretty big estate with many buildings and a pretty, old, small orthodox church. Last owned before 1917 by the Yusupov family (the ones who were richer than the tsar himself and involved in the Rasputin murder). There is a painting by Francois Flameng of Zinaida Yusupova (in the Hermitage) where you can see this palace in the background.
