Bielefeld: CARNIVAL DER KULUREN 2015

Am Samstag, den 06. Juni 2015 zog die internationale Straßen-Parade mit 2000 Akteuren in 70 Gruppen mit heißen Rhythmen,fantasievollen Kostümen und farbenprächtige Masken und spektakuläre Installationen durch die Bielefelder Innenstadt. Meterhohe Stelzenläufer, tanzende Skulpturen, freche Clowns, waghalsige Akrobaten, Kostümträger in aufwändigen Kreationen und dynamische Musiker tanzen und trommeln. Viele internationale, nationale und regionale Künstler, Akteure und Performer feiern mit den Bielefeldern. Sie kommen aus: Antwerpen, Berlin, Bremen, Essen, Isles of Wight, Hamburg, London, Münster, Oberhausen und last but not least der gesamten Region Ostwestfalen Lippe. Die Parade begann um 15 Uhr an der Schloßhofstraße. Die große Abschlussveranstaltung fand n diesem Jahr ab 17 Uhr auf dem Kesselbrink statt.

Theme: The freedom of the road
A miracle of joie de vivre, an international festival to celebrate the Carnival of Cultures, a parade of masks, costumes and fantastic installations: the Carnival der Kulturen symbolises all this. It unites all generations, with around 2000 participants and 70 groups annually performing to as many as 100000 spectators – a stimulation of the senses, an unlimited array of colours, rhythms and moving images. Meter-high stiles, dancing sculptures, wicked clowns, wild acrobats, costume wearers in spectacular creations and dynamic musicians dance and drum in the streets of Bielefeld. A competition for moving objects, costumes and newly created designs will be specially announced.
On the 6th of June 2015 the parade starts at 3pm o´clock on Schloßhofstrasse corner Melanchthonstrasse in Bielefeld. At 5pm o´clock starts the final music show at the Kesselbrink.
